Milwaukee is a city of perennially surprising depth and vibrancy. When John Gurda, Milwaukee’s preeminent historian, reached out for someone to shoot and do sound design for this PBS doc, it was an easy yes. There’s beauty everywhere - even, or maybe especially, in the grittiest, most human places on earth.
