“Grazing Planners Speak”
The full series can be viewed here.
While we spend lots of time hanging off the backs and sides of UTV’s while farmers share their worlds with us, we truly enjoyed hanging with the superheros who work with those farmers for a change. The client wanted to create an easily-accessible series that would be used to raise the baseline understanding of agronomists and technical service providers working with grazing operations. With Masters Degrees in Agronomy and grazing systems (and fancy cinema cameras), we went out and harvested the beauty, wisdom, and nuts-and-bolts components needed to make this series sing. It turns out that agricultural education can be informational AND beautiful
“Farmer Profiles”
When we think back to our favorite classes in school, we often remember the teacher more than any particular lesson. That’s why, no matter what we’re shooting, or with who, we take the time to get to know who’s standing in front of the camera. What makes them tick? How did they end up where they are? What hard-earned wisdom can they share? While not always a client-ask, it’s more often than not something we do just for us. We’re always curious, and hungry for a good story. In this case, the client was able to free up some extra budget to knock some of these stories together so viewers could have a real, personal view of folks out there on the landscape making it happen.

“Adaptive Grazing 101”
The full series can be viewed here.
When we were approached by the Pasture Project to create an educational series hosted by internationally recognized grazing and livestock expert Dr. Allen Williams, we jumped at the opportunity. As one of our oldest clients, the Pasture Project knew that our dual passions and skill-sets in filmmaking and regenerative agriculture uniquely suited us to drop onto a farm in Central Missouri and get it done, with ease, skill, and some fun. We wandered pastures for three days, letting the series present itself as Dr. Williams and our team riffed and explored and asked the best questions we could. The result was a 35-part video tutorial series focused on bite-sized, easily shareable videos that serve as an accessible introduction to adaptive grazing. Year’s later, this series continues to be the organization’s most-viewed resource and is a testament to the goodness that can result when curiosity and skill are in conversation.
